Separating the Painel from the homepage saved Agenda Edu $1,240 per month ($14,880 annually).
Zero tickets
After the homepage update, no new support tickets or complaints related to the previous issues were received.
Solution
Through a collective effort, Agenda Edu’s new homepage became more user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional for schools. It highlights the platform's key features, provides tailored content about functionalities, and includes shortcuts to essential external apps. The Dashboard is now a separate module accessible from the side menu.
Process
I conducted interviews with the Customer Success and Support teams to understand schools' perceptions of Agenda Edu's homepage. Additionally, I performed benchmarks to compare competitors' homepages and analyzed the financial data related to our Home. See the key insights above:
We quickly realized that the Painel was a separate module, taking over the homepage space and diverting it from its true purpose.
We identified complaints about the Painel's loading time and the difficulty for users to understand the data presented.
Challenges
The project took place during the school vacation period (July to August), which made direct research with schools unfeasible.
The solution needed to be as simple and feasible as possible due to significant structural changes within the teams at the time.
Goals
Enhance schools' visibility of new features and updates, ensuring they don’t go unnoticed.
Problem
4 months to design and develop.
Context
When accessing the platform, schools were directed to the Painel, a "homepage" featuring data and charts about platform usage by parents and students. This data, sourced from Metabase, could be customized upon request by the school. Additionally, schools had quick access to their external applications through the "My Apps" section.
A Cost-Effective and Efficient Homepage for Agenda Edu
Through a collaborative project, we redesigned the platform’s main page to make it more intuitive and informative for schools, saving the company $14,880 annually.
